Right-handed pitcher Pablo Lopez (27) has agreed to an extension contract with the Minnesota Twins.

Local media including CBS Sports reported on the 18th (Korean time) that Lopez signed a 4-year contract extension with Minnesota for a total of 73.5 million dollars (97 billion won). The term of this contract is 2024-2027. Originally, Lopez was scheduled to be released as a free agent (FA) after the 2024 season., the official website of the Major League Baseball (MLB), said, “If this contract is formalized, it will be the highest pitcher in the history of the club, surpassing Irvin Santana’s 4-year, 50 million dollars (66 billion won) announced ahead of the 2015 season.”
