Vietnam opened the door to attack. In the 9th minute of the first half, Tuan Hai Pham bypassed two defenders in the box and looked at the opposite post and attempted a low and quick shot. It missed the goalpost by a piece of paper.

Thailand did not stand still. In the 14th minute of the first half, Krysorn fired a shot from the right side of the box. However, the goal and kite did not touch.

Vietnam scored the first goal in the 22nd minute of the first half. Nguyen Tien Linh headed a cross coming from the right and scored the opening header. Having scored 6 goals in this tournament, he rose to the joint top scorer.

Thailand missed a decisive chance. In the 42nd minute of the first half, a free kick was awarded just outside the left side of the box. A powder bullet came out as a kicker, but it hit the goal post.

In the 3rd minute of the second half, Thailand’s Arjivirai took over Boonmatan’s long pass from the left side. There was a Vietnamese defender in front, but he fell himself while attempting a tackle. A shooting chance was easily created in an instant, and Arjivirai split the Vietnamese net with a left-footed shot.

Thailand, riding on the atmosphere, even pulled out a come-from-behind goal. In the 18th minute of the second half, Boonma-tan again recorded an assist. Boon Ma Tan gave Yu Yan a pass that broke the offsite trap. Ou Yan, who had a 1-1 chance with the goalkeeper, scored a come-from-behind goal.

Vietnam, in a hurry, struggled to score an equalizer. In the 23rd minute of the second half, Tien Lin, who scored the first goal, hit his head with a cross coming from the left, but headed straight for the goalkeeper.

Vietnam balanced the gearco game. In the 42nd minute of the second half, ‘Replacement Resource’ Boo Van Tyne snatched the ball from a corner kick and scored a goal like gold with a bullet-like shot.

The game ended just like that. The second match between Vietnam and Thailand will be held at Thammasat Stadium in Pathum Thani, Thailand on the 16th.
