Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp insisted that he was not angry at the abandonment of Jude Bellingham (Borussia Dortmund).
Coach Klopp opened his mouth about giving up signing Bellingham at a press conference on the 15th ahead of the Leeds Unite match in the 31st round of the 2022/23 season Premier League to be held on the 18th (Korean time).
The young English midfielder,먹튀검증 born in 2003, has been closely linked to Liverpool as one of Europe’s best midfielders.
Many expected Liverpool to try to sign Bellingham in the coming summer, but recently Liverpool have decided to abandon the Bellingham move before the transfer window even opens.
The reason is none other than the astronomical transfer fee. Liverpool are expected to need up to £130 million (about 210.6 billion won) to sign Bellingham.
Even when the club gave up on Bellingham’s signing because they couldn’t invest too much money in a single player, manager Klopp didn’t take it seriously.
“Maybe people wonder if I’m angry with the owner’s decision, but I’m not upset at all,” Klopp said.
“Not everything we do always coincides, but I’m hired here as a manager,” he added. “I’m not here to get angry at the club’s decision.”
Klopp also opened up about a Bellingham replacement.
Instead of giving up on Bellingham, Liverpool put Mason Mount (Chelsea), Nicola Varela (Inter Milan), Alexis McAllister, and Moises Caicedo (Brighton) on the list of candidates.
According to reporter Fabroccio Romano, who is well-versed in the news of the start of the transfer window, Liverpool are hoping to sign two or three midfielders this coming summer.
Regarding the replacement, Klopp said, “There are only 12 midfield candidates we can recruit. There are many good players in the world. We are always interested in good players, so some will come to Liverpool.”
