LG’s Kim Min-sung blasts a grand slam in tie for first place…his fifth of the season

SEOUL,스포츠토토 South Korea (Yonhap) – Veteran infielder Kim Min-sung, 34, of the LG Twins, hit a grand slam in the race for first place in the Korean Baseball Organization (KBO).

Kim hit a grand slam over the left field fence in the top of the fourth inning of a 1-1 tie against visiting SSG Landers in the 2023 KBO League at SSG Landers Field in Incheon on Wednesday.

Trailing 0-1 in the top of the fourth, Park Dong-won drew a bases-loaded walk to tie the game at 1-1.

Kim Min-seong, who came to bat next, took a 0-2 pitch count against SSG starter Oh Won-seok and lifted a 127-kilometer changeup away from his body and just over the left field fence.

SSG left fielder Guillermo Heredia followed it to the fence and tried to make a jumping catch, but his glove fell short.

It was the fifth career home run for Kim Min-sung, who made his professional debut in 2007.

LG’s Kim Min-sung made it a 5-1 game.
