‘Monster rookie’ Kim Seo-hyun, 2 consecutive scoreless ‘excellent pitches’… 2 innings 4K ERA ‘0’

Hanwha’s rookie pitcher Kim Seo-hyun pitched two consecutive scoreless games in the Futures League.

Kim Seo-hyun took the mound in the second game of the double header against SSG 2nd Division of the Futures League held at Seosan Stadium on the 6th. He threw 14 pitches in one inning, giving up two hits and two strikeouts. 

Kim Seo-hyun, who took the mound in the last inning 메이저놀이터of the 7th inning with an 8-3 lead, was hit in the middle left by Choi Hang, the first batter. He got the lead batter on base, but struck out Kim Kun-woong on the 5th pitch to get an out count. 

He was hit hard by Lee Heung-ryun and was driven into a crisis with 1st out and 1st and 2nd bases. He caught Lee Ji-yeon, who has long hitting power, in the crisis of conceding runs, striking out with a series of swings and misses on a 1-ball, 1-strike. In the continued 2nd 1st and 2nd base, Cho Hyeong-woo was treated as a shortstop grounder and the game ended.

In the opening game of the Futures League on the 4th, Kim Seo-hyun, who recorded 1 walk, 1 walk, 2 strikeouts and no runs in 1 inning against the SSG 2nd team, continued the scoreless run for 2 consecutive games. He put runners in scoring position in both games, but showed his ability to strike out and get out of the crisis. 

Kim Seo-hyun, who uses fast balls exceeding 150 km/h and curveballs, recorded an average ERA of 1.80 (2 runs in 5 innings, 1 ERA) in 3 holds in 5 games in the demonstration game.  

Hanwha coach Subero plans to have Kim Seo-hyun cast in the second team for the time being. We plan to postpone his professional debut for a while and let him grow and gain experience in the second team for the time being. Coach Subero said of Kim Seo-hyun, “It is not too late to call up after growing up in the 2nd team for a certain period of time.”
